Job Description

Hey Voice talent(s)

This job is for a company that runs a (water)ski, parasailing school. Anything you can do in or over water they offer. The newest offerings they have are things called jetavators and flyboards where your essentially ride a waterbike/surf board hooked to the back of a jet ski with a hose and the more the jet ski throttles, the higher you (should) get in the air. It's like surfing in the sky.

So our client has a wide range of customers, everyone from the surfer dude thrill seeker to older or younger individuals willing to stretch their boundaries. The script operates on the premise that everyone, no matter how adventurous, makes an initial vow to test their limitations at some point when they choose to do this. In short, everyone wants to fly. This script first introduces the concept of spreading your wings (inspirationally) and then has the participants repeat the vow.

You are the omnipotent voice who first introduces the concept that "you can do this" and then asks the person to repeat the vow (imagine them taking an oath). In the video we have the people all repeating what you're saying with varying amounts of energy and vigour. They are taking the pledge, you are giving it. They are breaking down personal walls.

Your read needs to be serious but not solemn. It needs to be determined, yet fun. You're inspiring people to challenge themselves so the first part is "what if" and the second part is "you can do this." The pace needs to motivated but again fun. They're not risking their lives here but they are expanding their personal horizons. You are the inspiring voice that makes them want to do it. You're their coach and supporter. You are their inspiration and their energy.

Lastly you'll notice the vow is a personal pledge to gravity, about not letting it keep people down anymore. So it's a bit of like confronting that bully once and for all. "I'm not afraid of you anymore." The first part of the read entices and the second part inspires. And keep it fun.

Thanks to all who participate.
