Job Description

This is for a :30 television spot for McLeod Health. Need a 30-50 male voice that is sincere, warm, inviting, and at the same time delivered with just enough gravitas to convey the importance of what is being said.

Very important: Voice should not sound announcer-ish - cannot stress that enough! Instead, the VO should sound as if it's being delivered by a member of the McLeod team. Up-close and personal - in the past we have had VOs spoken very close to the mic and at low volume to convey this feeling.

This commercial is part 1 of a series to run through the end of 2018 - we are expecting 3-4 spots and will use the same talent for each.

Pronouncing McLeod: "Mck Loud" with the emphasis on the second syllable. The c should really sound like the ch in 'Bach'. You can hear it in the demos posted below.

It will be helpful for the prospective talent to listen to previous spots to understand the style and delivery we are looking for. Here are 2 - one a television spot and the other a longer web video (which recently won an Aster Award for excellence in medical advertising):

Because this client is so particular, I have attached the entire script below. It is a great help if I am able to present the entire read. If you are not able to read it in its entirety, the 1st, 2nd, and last sentence are required for consideration.

Note from This job posting has been reviewed and approved by staff. recommends that you record a portion of the client’s script to audition for this project. Please refrain from slating your audition unless specifically asked to do so by the client. Please title the audition file with your name (e.g. JohnSmith.mp3) to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
