Job Description

Looking for someone who can impersonate George Carlin to read a list of commands that will be used as a replacement voice for a GPS. These voices are intended to be "fun and funny," as well as politically incorrect (the PIG in PIGtones stands for politically incorrect GPS) to replace the boring stock voices. Note: talent must be willing to use explicit language.

There are about 200 commands/~700 words, each of which is either a short sentence or single word/short phrase. Having done this before, I can tell you that it will only take you about 15 minutes to record in a single, uninterrupted file. I will split it apart and edit it.

For audition purposes, read the following lines (and feel free to throw in any "George-isms" to spice the lines up. Ad libs are encouraged!
AUDITION SCRIPT
1. Continue driving 17 point 5 miles, then take exit right.
2. Be careful, there's a lot of stuff you have to put up with when you're driving...like red lights! When did THAT start?!
3. Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
4. Remember, we wouldn't want to wander too far from home without a humorous license plate frame. Mine says, "my other car is a piece of trash too!"
5. Arrive at your final destination...Don't you hate when people say that? I mean ALL destinations are final! That's what it means, destiny-final. If you haven't gotten where you're going, you aren't there yet.

Thanks!

Note from Voices.com: It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
