I waited until dusk Carnival night to avenge myself. The flat was a one-story apartment, and stood on a dark corner and rise, unlike my own, which was connected to a series of other apartments and surrounded by a high wrought-iron gate.
The wildly decorated carriage was parked in front of it. However, there was no driver. I suspected that he would come later. With this advantage, I crept up to it with the crate of wine, that I had so skillfully poisoned, and opened the carriage door, and stashed it on the floor under a white sheet. I then crept up to the side of the house to the dumpster, which was just high enough so I could peep into the windows. I mounted it, and peered into the first window.
From the feeble light behind the lace curtains, I could see two figures in the room. This was Franz and Albert. They were waiting for Gregorio, which meant he was still getting dressed, or he had gone to the restroom. I had no interests in watching their dull and positively boring profiles, and moved the dumpster to the back of the house, where the second window was.
