Job Description

Hello! We are looking for a female voice to read John Masefield's poem SEA FEVER:

We want to make this a somewhat modern reading- so no characters, caricatures or "ye olde poetry time" style of readings. We would like it to be poetic and weighty but without sounding self-serious or giving it too much weight. Basically- we want the words to speak for themselves and we are looking for a respectful yet "LESS IS MORE" reading that evokes the sensory experience of the sea and makes people wish they were out on it.

The end goal is to pair this with beautiful footage of a cruise ship being built in a shipyard, with our aim to create a feeling of "I have to get out there!"

We will make our selection based on the talent that balances the respectful and reverent approach to the text without going over the top, or to anyone who can MODERNIZE and make the read a little more conversational without ruining the "magic" or making it sound ordinary.

Thank you!!
