Job Description

REGIONAL TV AD SPOT NEEDS HUMOROUS MALE FAKE SPANISH ACCENT

Male VO, aged 30s to late 50s, with unintentionally humorous, self-important fake Spanish accent needed for regional TV ad spot for a ski resort. The jumping point vocal reference is actor Danny Trejo (of “Machete” fame). However: your character will be that of an off-screen film director, so the read should be more subdued, as if narrating a nature film. It should sound as if you are faking the accent, but taking yourself, and the ad spot, very seriously.

Interested in accents both from Spain, Mexico, and North American Spanish.

30-second spot, five scripts, session will be an hour long, to be recorded on Monday, October 18th in the AM (PST – ad agency is in Seattle).

If not in the Seattle area, you must have your own studio with quality signal chain and phone patch for the team to listen in and give direction (ISDN line NOT required: team just needs to listen in and give direction. FTP delivery of final files is fine).

$400 for the hour. Payable by Pay Pal or check.

Please record and submit audition script below by noon on Friday, October 15th. Audio watermarks, background music, or improvisation is fine.

Note from Voices.com: It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
