Job Description

The Voice Over will be included as part of a Case/Evidence File in an Homicide Crime Scene investigation app where players can evaluate a virtual (fictional) crime scene, its evidence, and its suspects case files to try and determine who (among the suspects) is the actual killer. The mood is gritty/pulp/serious/docu-drama.

Female/late 20s to early 30s

Alex Park, a professional musician, was found murdered (by multiple gunshots) in his apartment. Candice is a suspect in the murder case.

Britt is the victim’s band manager. They have also been having an affair for two years. She is very confident, and felt like Alex’s talent combined with her smarts was enough to make them both very successful. She had spent years building this idealized future in her mind, and snapped when she felt it had suddenly been pulled away from her all at once.

What follows is an excerpt from the recorded statement that she gave to the police when questioned following the discovery of the murder. This will be played when a player interacts with the “hear statement” button on this suspect’s rap sheet.

Although guilty, she is pretty confident. She feels like she is the smartest person in the room. She’s in “work mode” and talking him up to deflect attention.
She still thinks of what they could have had (professionally and personally) and thinks she hides it well.
