Job Description

The Voice Over will be included as part of a Case/Evidence File in an Homicide Crime Scene investigation app where players can evaluate a virtual (fictional) crime scene, its evidence, and its suspects case files to try and determine who (among the suspects) is the actual killer. The mood is gritty/pulp/serious/docu-drama.

Male/late 20s to early 30s

Alex Park, a professional musician, was found murdered (by multiple gunshots) in his apartment. Greg is a suspect in the murder case.

Greg plays bass in the band that Alex became the star of. This turned into resentment, but Greg also needed Alex’s success, so he couldn’t just leave the group. He probably thinks a bit much of himself, and he’s just the tiniest bit dense. His most obvious quality is that he’s a hothead. Greg has decided that Alex doesn’t deserve Candice, and that she’d be better with him. He’s stalker-y and obsessive about her.

What follows is an excerpt from the recorded statement that he gave to the police when questioned following the discovery of the murder. This will be played when a player interacts with the “hear statement” button on this suspect’s rap sheet.

He resented Alex’s talent and success.
This should come out like a rant. His possible motive stems from his obsession with Candice. It’s important, though, that it’s very clear he admits to telling Candice about Alex’s affair (to further reinforce her motive.)
