Job Description

I would like to know if you are interested in doing a Urdu recording for me. It's for use in Pakistan so it's important that your Urdu accent sounds authentic.

The script is about 6.500 words long. I have recorded this script many times before and it takes about an hour and a half to do from beginning to end depending on how fast your delivery is.

I need you to record the script on your own recording equipment and send a wav file when you finished. We will do all the editing afterwards so you can leave all the breaths in.

The script is structured in a spread sheet where each prompt is written on a separate line with a number at the beginning followed by the sentence to record. We have found that the fastest way to get through the recording is to say the number followed by the sentence.

Like this:

121 Please hang up now.
122 Your call is being transferred.

But the number to be spoken out loud should be in the form "one-two-one" not "One Hundred and Twenty One". It's faster to record than trying to say the full number.

This is the initial job but following it, we will need to make corrections, additions, or add extra recordings so I need you to consider this when accepting the job.

It's important that the cost of this project and the future recordings are kept down in price, hence why I'm contacting you directly instead of using a voice agency. We have done multiple jobs going through voice agencies already but it's expensive and there too inflexible when it comes to small recordings.

The budget is 300 US Dollars for the main recording.

Let me know if your interested or you have any suggestions.

Thanks for you time.

Stuart Fenton
