Job Description

Project:
30 second commercial for Tourism/DMO. Internet, in resort, possibly television (media plan not done)

Process:
Script not 100% approved. Sample below. Possibly 2 rounds of changes for tone/script etc. that should be in quote.

Direction:
We are open to a male or female voice.
The style should be a "half-whisper".
Our goal is for it to sound like a quiet, but inviting beckoning that is coming from the mountains, or from nature. It should have a positive tone, and we should hear a carefree and lightheartedness to it.
It should not sound creepy or ghostly. It shouldn't be overly dramatic or aspirational. If it comes off as over the top, it won't align with the visuals we've got.

Here's the inspiration sample for the female: https://vimeo.com/108018156
This is an inspiration for the half-whisper style only as I'm feeling like this example comes off a bit overly-dramatic, in the way that I'm wary of. The first :35 seconds has a whisper that ranges from faint, to a bit more pronounced. I like most the tone at the :11 second mark.

Here's the inspiration sample for the male: https://vimeo.com/192417650
The whisper exists on the front end here too, but the "half whisper" is more around the :39 second mark. It goes up a bit, and sounds less ghostly. That's what we're looking for.

If possible please read it in a few different degrees of whisper to softly spoken so we can hear what works best with your voice. The focus again, should be on getting something that doesn't sound dark and dramatic. It should be on the light and fun side for sure.
