Job Description

Hi :) This job entails a male voice recording for a 24-hour infoline. Callers would reach us in response to street signs (also known as bandit signs) that are placed in strategic locations around town (mostly in Orange County, Southern California). The signs read: "Free Foreclosure and Short Sale Workshop, Investor Seeks Associate, 855-XTRA10K."

Callers first listen to a greeting (female voice) which is being prepared by another voice talent. I have included the greeting below as way of background only. The caller would dial 411 and get transferred to your recording. For dialing 411 the first thing they would get is a “thank you” which is how your recording starts.

The objective of the recording is to convert the cold leads from the street signs to warm leads. Your message delivery should be enthusiastic and compelling enough to entice the caller to leave their name and phone number for me to follow up and actually invite them to our workshop. I have timed the recorded message at about 1 min and 15 sec speaking at a normal, conversational pace. To make sure callers don't hang up before they actually get to the end of the recording, I would like to request a crisp and just a tad faster pace in your speech so the "microwave generation" callers with short attention spans, actually make it to the end of the message without hanging up. However, the pace should in no way even come close to the rate of legal disclaimers commonly rattled off at the end of radio and TV commercials :)

Note from It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
