Job Description

Project Overview: I'm developing interview training package for on-line and podcast and need a number of different men/women/young/old voices to portray themselves as interviewees answering a range of interview questions.

At present I'm working on 20 specific questions.

Word/Page Count: Content will range from one sentence to 300 words.

Market Size: Small market, 621 One-Stop Career Centers

Artistic Direction: Just sound like someone who's not reading and is being interviewed.

Sample Of A Long Response (276 words):

Interview Question: Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

Interview Response: “As you can see from my resume/application form my name is Bolivar J. Shagnasty, but I go by Ollie.

I’m interested in a career in bookkeeping and accounting, but I’d be open to other jobs where I can work with numbers, data, and information.

I have more than three (3) years of directly related experience. I have two (2) years working as a bookkeeper for XYZ, Inc. I spent about a year doing accounts payable and receivable for a small retail business, Smith Appliances, and I’ve been the bookkeeper for the American Legion Auxiliary for about six (6) months.

I think my best job-related skills are that I’m good at tracking payables and receivables. I can prepare financial statements, generate payroll information, coordinate year-end audit information for tax purposes, and I’m really knowledgeable about a number of computerized accounting software packages.

I guess I’d describe my personality as a person who is responsible and has a solid work ethic. I’m accurate, detailed, productive, and can work under stress and meet deadlines.

I also think I can bring some other transferable skills to the job that others might not. I can train and supervise people, plan and coordinate projects, identify and solve problems, and I really like learning new things.

I received my associates degree in bookkeeping from Metro Tech. while raising my family and working part-time and I finished with a “B” average.

If I had to highlight a point of pride or success, aside from raising my family, it would probably be the time I was given the job of reorganizing the entire accounts receivable process at Smith Appliances.

Is this the type of information you’re looking for?”

Sample Of A Short Response (44 word)

Interview Question: What are your pay expectations?

Interview Response: "I can’t really answer that question very well without knowing more about my duties, responsibilities, and my levels of accountability.

Can you give me a little bit more information about your expectations and the job demands so I can give you a reasonable answer?"
