Job Description

Signature Productions is a small independent production company who have produced over the years videos for kids in school, educational assemblies and so forth. Signature Productions is also the home of Noa/Rice Digital which has produced many short films, that are geared more toward drama.

This is a pilot episode, and we are hoping it gets picked up. If so, there would be many more episodes slated resulting in ongoing work opportunities for the selected talent.

It Really Happened is a fun kid's history show. The word count for the pilot is 275.

Narrarator must be epic and serious, while still being able to be comedic. Please submit samples of the sides below as well as any comedic material you may have.

Custom demos are preferred. One or two sentences are fine.

Thank you,

4a It was July 16th, 1969. The most powerful flying machine ever created was ready for take-off. It was taller than a 40 story building; it weighed over 6 million pounds… But it could carry only three men. Their names were Michael Collins, Buzz Aldrin, and Neil Armstrong… They were the astronauts of Apollo 11.

4b On that historic morning, these three men climbed to the top of the massive rocket, ready to begin the most incredible journey of their lives…

12a We interrupt this program with a special news flash. The astronauts of Apollo 11 brought a live video camera with them on the flight. And they have granted a brief interview to It Really Happened. The problem is the astronauts are in 1969 and It Really Happened is… not.

Girl and Boy are about to be transported back in time

12b Therefore we will now attempt to send (Girl) and (Boy) back to 1969!

Text: “July 20th, 1969”

14gg It was now July 20th, 1969. Apollo 11 was now in orbit around the moon.

Graphic: 1:47pm

14hh With Astronaut Collins staying in orbit in the Command Module, astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin climbed into the small Lunar Module, nicknamed, “The Eagle”, and began to fly to the surface of the moon. It was a long and lonely two hour journey. But with each passing minute, the two men were getting closer and closer…
