Job Description

Project Overview:

This video takes place in an animated world where business grow from an appleseed into a treehouse (store) and money is represented by apples. While the animation has an element of whimsical to it, the voice needs to ground the visuals in concreteness.

Intended use: web sales video (homepage video link, and used in presentations)

Artistic Direction:
Looking for a young, modern, approachable, male voice. "everyday". The voice-over is really telling the story, so shifts in energy are great. It should sound like explaining it to a friend with confidence, to one person, not an audience in a casual conversation. This voice should have a flavor of "Americana" - proud American business. I like good energy and places where pace shifts a bit, but we also don't need anything over-acted. Where there are lists, please leave a pause, as the video needs time to keep-up (don't rattle a list off).

*Radio style reads don't work, so please do not submit this style.
In order to apply, we need you to audition the script, we will not accept demo reels.

Balance between ‘cool service’ and ‘friendly and approachable’ ‘professional and happy’

Technical Requirements:
- wav or AIFF file required
- 2-3 reads with variance in cadence, energy, and emphasis.

Once we approve your voice, and verify final script, it would be great to get files within 3 days. We often like to do a least one round of pick-ups (I try hard to keep this to only one, and if the client asks for a second, it has to be super minor).
