Job Description

I'm the publisher of a modern-day retelling of Huck Finn set on the LA River, and we're doing the audiobook of the novel. This is the role of Tom Sawyer, who -- in this retelling -- is a 10-year-old African-American boy from Compton.

Here's a bit about Tom:
- Lives with his Aunt Polly, who he thinks is the smartest person in the world
- Very confident
- A risk taker
- Uses the word "dope" for cool and generally speaks like a boy from Compton

In general, Tom is similar to Huck in some ways - always ready for adventure, not inclined to obey authority, good-hearted. But he's also different - from urban rather than rural setting, more confident and bold, etc.

Thank you!
