Job Description

Hi all,

I’m putting a casting call out for a voice artist to voice a short children’s book trailer I’m working on. It will be a :40 (ish) second animated video for a children’s book that seeks to put kids at ease on their first day of school. it’s a short 116 word script, that I will be animating to. We are looking for a sensitive African American female voice to voice this narration. It should be pretty slow, almost motherly re-assurance advice to a child afraid of their first day of school. Age can be anywhere from 25ish to middle aged. The script is written in an almost poetic style, so the audition should reflect that sort of pentameter and tone.

This will be used for internet promotion of the book, as well as a possible in-store display to help sell the book. There is no TV or broadcast of this promo. I have a fixed $250 budget for this, and many times, I am able to use the audition read as final, and award the job without re-recording.

Thanks, and I’m looking forward to hearing you.
