Job Description

TWO CHARACTER VOICES, ONE FEMALE, ONE MALE; ONE ANNOUNCER VOICE

OLD SECOND REFRIGERATOR is a female character voice, probably sounding 50+. She's needy in an imposing but manipulative way. The kind of person whose way of imposing on you includes talking too much about how she would never want to impose on you. She could be a little whiny, but not in a full-throttle Fran Drescher way. She's not frail-sounding, although she might feign that a little. Really, she's assertive, demanding, grating. So she's not the old lady in the Tweetie-Bird cartoons. She's more like Tony Soprano's mother, or the fight-promoter mother in the movie 'The Fighter.' No Jersey or Brooklyn, or any strong accents, though. It's for Canada and should have a neutral North American accent.

OLD FREEZER is a male character voice, probably sounding 38+. He's full of bluster and talks fast, which makes him overbearing. He sounds like a big guy, and comes off as a subtle kind of bully with a thin sugar coating. His M.O. is to act as if the person he's talking to is his co-conspirator—but he's the guy in charge. No Jersey or Brooklyn, or any strong accents, though. It's for Canada and should have a neutral North American accent.

ANNOUNCER is male or female, government/corporate spokesvoice. Non-radio morning crew type. Neutral North American (Canadian) accent.
