Job Description

Hi there,

We are looking for some help with voiceover for our new iPad children’s story. We’re retelling Hansel and Gretel, and we're making a 30-second YouTube video to promote it.

We have this monster that pops up in our story (see picture: http://db.tt/Bdd7F1J) who we affectionately call Bushy. Bushy is the monster that ate Hansel and Gretel's trail of crumbs as they were going through the forest. Bushy's now making a YouTube video to ask the world help him find Hansel and Gretel. We are looking for Bushy's voice.

We imagine Bushy to be five-years-old, adorable, and with a plain American accent. He's trying to act very grown up in making this video, but he's obviously still a kid. The voice should not be a straight child's voice - it should be more of a character voice that is unique and lovable. The inspiration for the video is a YouTube video called Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF9-sEbqDvU).

The spot will be around 100 words; however the script may change. We are offering this position at a flat rate (i.e. no royalties). We also prefer talent in the New York City area, and if we select you, we'll arrange a time for you to come into our sound studio to do the recording.

If you are interested in Bushy, please just record yourself saying the lines from the script below. We look forward to hearing from you!

[We open on Bushy on his webcam. He is very close to the camera as he is adjusting the camera and turning it on. He is wearing a tie. As he moves away from the camera he begins pacing back and forth and holding our “have you seen.” flyer. He looks very troubled and upset]

BUSHY: Peoples of the interwebs, I need your help! I have posted at least millions of these flyers around the forest to find these children!

BUSHY: I admit, I may have confused their breadcrumb trail to be a game of Hide and Go Eat and now I can’t help but feel that their disappearance is my fault!
