NOTES: Looking for "Patrick Stewart" like voice.

This voice work is the first "Walk-Through" video in a series of 8 such video’s demonstrating our flagship product.

All scripts are under 1000 words. This posting is for a single script (650 words).

• Services allow you to easily create workers tracker inventories and effectively track your profit centers. Think of services as a definition of the work that you provide your customers. Weather you charge by the area, the square foot, or by the room; services are an effective tool for consistently creating line items on your orders.
• To navigate to the services list page go to the main menu under company;
• Management;
• Services;
• Service center business comes with a number of default services. You can modify or delete the services if they do not fit within your company.
• To create a new service, click on the “add service link” located in the blue toolbar on the services page.
• The service detail record contains two sections.
• The first section “service info” is located at the top of the services detail page.
• The active field allows you to designate whether none of services available for future work orders.
• The name field allows you to name your service.
• The service to field allows you to categorize your service for reporting. If you wanted to track your income based off of cleaning, tile and grout or upholstery service types, you can use the service type field to accurately track those profit centers.
• The default tax setting allows you to charge taxes for your services. If you do not charge taxes for services that system default setting will be appropriate.
• The price field allows you to designate a price for your service. If you charge by the square foot you’ll want to enter your price per square foot. Later on your work orders, you will designate the quantity of square feet for this particular service.
• The line item description is what will be displayed to your customer on work orders.
• The service description allows you to identify services in this “service list” at a later date.
• The second section of the services screen “supply line items” is used if you track inventory. You can enter supplies that are used on the service, and the quantities that are used to complete one of this service type.
• To add a supply to a service click on the air at the line item link in the blue toolbar of the supply line items section.
• To save your service, click the state link in the blue toolbar. To return to the service list click the service list link in the blue toolbar.
• Now let’s look at how services work with work orders. To add a service to a work order, move your mouse over “the add new line item” link on the “line items” tab of any work order.
• Click on the services menu item.
• A list of your services will be displayed in a popup screen.
• You can filter on service types by using the service type filter drop down in the popup window.
• You can also add new services on the fly by using the “add new service” link located the top of the screen.
• To add a service to a work order, simply click on your choice of service.
• The work order will now contain a new line item of the service that you entered.
• Modify the description quantity and tax rate field where appropriate.
• To have as CB calculate the quantity of any line item simply type in the dimensions of the area preceded by an =.
• To finish your line item entry simply click on the blue update button located on the right hand side of the line item.
• As you can see services can be an effective tool and by taking the time to set them up properly service center business can help you track your profit centers update your inventory and make creating work orders easier.
