Job Description

We are looking for a sophisticated (not snobby) man’s voice that sounds excited, youthful, animated, chipper. You'll be playing the role of a House in our script.

We are paying $100 for this spot. Thanks so much for your reads. Please find the script below, again, please read just the "House" parts. Thanks.

House: [a hushed, almost singsongy voice tries to get Karen’s attention,] pssst…Karen. [slight pause, followed by a more serious attempt, Karen is washing dishes- hear running water, little bit of splashing, and dishes clinking together a little bit. When the house finally gets her attention, the running water should be shut off (and all other noises stopped)] KA-ren…

SFX: [Karen lets out a startled gasp, followed by a breaking of a dish.]

Karen: [Starting with a stutter] Wh-Who’s there?

House: [starting off in a calming, gentle voice] It’s okay — it’s me — your house. I know you and Jim want to remodel the kitchen, and I want to help. It’s the least I can do after everything you’ve done for me.

Karen: [disbelieving, assuming she’s going crazy:] Ok…house… How?

House: A home equity loan. At First National Bank they’ll loan money for all kinds of things based on your equity in – well, in me.

Announcer: Home equity loans with a great low rate and absolutely no closing costs? Yeah. We can do that. First National Bank.

Karen: I just can’t believe it. Thank you, house.

House: No, thank you.

Karen: NO, thank YOU.

House: NO, thank YOU.
