Job Description

Local commercial for the Washington, DC area. We need a strong voice with conviction for this "call to action" commercial.

Thank you,
Michelle

How do you discover new music and new artists? If you’re like most people, it’s listening to your local radio stations.

For decades, radio has been promoting new music free of charge, contributing to the growth of new stars and new genres of music.

But the big, international record labels have a problem – they haven’t kept up with the times. Now they are asking Congress to tax local radio stations to subsidize their failing business model -- to the tune of billions of dollars.

Congress shouldn’t tax local radio stations simply to put more money in the pockets of giant international record companies.

Listeners are the ones who will suffer if stations are limited in their ability bring the best new music, news, weather and sports to their communities.

Call your member of Congress at 202-225-3121 and tell them to say no to a performance tax on local radio. It’s bad for listeners and bad for America.

This message is brought to you by the National Association of Broadcasters, representing nearly 7,000 local radio stations.
