Job Description

Looking for a distinctive character, a happy-go-lucky and somewhat simple minded fellow one can imagine walking through the Garden of Eden. He becomes more and more frustrated at various turns of events as the story unfolds. This character delivery must be able to provide a full range of subtle emotions. A full understanding of comedic timing is also required.

This is a character read, not straight narration.

The character needs aspects of Michael Kelso (from That 70s show), Homer Simpson in his simplicity, and Al Bundy's frustration with feeling trapped in his life. I am looking for aspects of these characters, not a repeat of the voices themselves.

Applicants must be able to record with a high signal-to-noise ratio, at 24 bit, 44.1 or 88.2, in uncompressed wave files. No effects of any kind should be added to the tracks. That will be done entirely on our side. You should be delivering completely dry tracks.

The final delivery should be edited to remove obvious mistakes but alternate takes on material are welcome.

The attached script is only for the audition.
