Job Description

BEST IF CAN READ IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH

We need a female announcer 210 words of text that will appear in 3 cartoon spots. I've attached the script I need but here is a sample of how the narrator will be used. Background: This video is part of a series of three animated video vignettes. Throughout each vignette, Joe demonstrates the wrong way to use foggers and Tom demonstrates using foggers correctly.

The following characters will appear in each vignette:
1) Announcer (voiceover only)
2) Joe – a young “Surfer-type” guy dressed in casual clothing, appearing very laid back
3) Joe’s Dog – a small black dog
4) Tom – neat, well-dressed, studious-looking guy
5) Tom’s Dog – small, tan-spotted dog

SETTING: Four row houses on an urban city block. Two men are coming from opposite directions on the same side of the sidewalk - both enter center adjoining row houses simultaneously.

[MUSIC ON] Upbeat tempo classical music - speeds up to match the intensity of the scene.
(Classical piano)

Announcer: Meet Joe and Tom. They both have a bug problem.

[TEXT] their names flash in each split screen.

[SPLIT SCREEN] displays both men frantically trying to step on roaches.

[ZOOM] in on roaches running all over the room avoiding the treacherous stomps of Tom and Joe. (Use slow motion to display a few close calls for the roaches)

[WIDE SHOT] both men reaching in the cabinets for a fogger can.

[MUSIC FADES OFF]

[PAN] left to Joe’s side and go full picture.

Joe: (Sound of foot steps … Joe enters kitchen carrying fogger can; dog follows behind him. Joe doesn’t read the label. He places the fogger can near the gas stove-top with the pilot flame clearly visible and activates the fogger. The dog’s eyes enlarge, and he quickly splits (speed sound effect). The can immediately explodes.

[TEXT] A cloud of spoke appears and with bomb sounds. “BOMB! BANG! BOMB!” flashes across the screen.

Announcer: Joe didn’t read the instructions and safety precautions on the label
Joe is carried out on a stretcher. The dog watches as Joe is carried along and shakes his head.

Announcer: Tom reads the label. It tells him what he needs to know to use the fogger safely and effectively.

Tom: (Tom is reading the label)

[ZOOM] in on the label “WARNING and Danger” are clearly visible.

Tom walks away from the stove and places can on the floor away from the stove – six-foot arrow is shown. He activates the can and leaves safely. Foot steps are heard and door slams.

Announcer: Read the label first! Follow all the instructions! Always keep foggers or bug bombs at least six feet away from gas or electrical appliances.
