Tactile Dome Scenario Proposal:
Subliminal Archeology

Brief: This abstract procedure is intended to pose conscious and subconscious questions for the participant, which may be explored through the darkness of the Tactile Dome. Through style and narration we aim to provoke and amplify the visitor's sense of wonder and curiosity.

Act 1.

Outside the Dome there is a registration table set up with white table cloth, and forms to be filled out.
These forms confirm the guest time slot, as well as asking a series of provocative questions for the participant.
(Recall a significant dream. Select one of the following archetypes. Are you afraid of death? Is there such thing as rebirth? etc.)
The forms are stylized like a pseudoscientific / bureaucratic document, entitled "Subliminal Archeology"

Act 2.

At the allotted time slot the group enters the lobby area of the Dome.
It is fairly dark inside, with ambient lighting (salt lamps) and accompanying musical soundtrack.
An audio-visual presentation begins.
sacred geometrical animations are projected onto the walls / ceiling.

The authoritative voice of the British narrator welcomes the group,
explaining the factual (as well as some fictional) history of the Dome.
She goes on to flamboyantly set-up a mystical journey in which the participant will encounter actual artifacts from their subconscious.

Act 3.

As instructed the participants enter the labyrinth one at a time.
Inside, they grope through the darkness (to a low key yet stimulating new-age / synth-pop soundtrack).
When they finally arrive to the Genie Womb, they encounter an elfin-like gentleman dressed in a white tunic.
He silently instructs them to have a seat, and await the rest of the group.
When all are present he begins to speak in an "other-worldly" voice (pre-recorded, produced w/ FX, amplified)
He animatedly gestures toward their dreams, projections, hopes and fears, conjuring them into a sort of accord.
He suggests that the line between waking and dream state may not be as defined as previously believed.
They are then instructed to complete their journey of Subliminal Archeology.
When they arrive back to the lobby, it is well lit,
and there is a man in a conductors uniform who gruffly punches and stamps their forms and ushers them toward the exit.
They have somewhat abruptly awoken from the dream.
