Frank Donaldson

Frank started in the funeral profession as a young boy, helping his dad Roy around the funeral home. As Frank got older he became a barber, postmaster and went to Embalming school, as it was called at that time. Frank started when the bodies were embalmed and laid out at home.

Frank had a unique sense of humor and his favorite response to any comments made to him was “Well I guess that’s ok.” Even as recent as this past June Frank would drive to Vincennes everyday to eat at Ponderosa, where his name is posted on the wall as being their oldest customer.

About once every two weeks or so, after lunch Frank would stop by the Funeral Home, to make sure things were ok, and to see how everyone was doing.

When Frank would be introduced to someone new he would do a little two step shuffle, to show the person that he was still a youngster, even though he was over 100 years old.
