February 3rd, 1880. Near midnight, shadows gather along a road in rural Ontario. Bound by an oath, their mission is secret, but what happens next will live on in infamy.

This quiet stretch of road leads to a crime scene – a crime scene that is more than a century old. Rarely have headlines been so shocking.

Five members of the notorious Donnelly family - wiped out in a single night. A mother and father, two sons, a niece. The after effects still linger, along this road, in nearby towns, across Canada.

Retired Deputy Chief Mike Boyd is one of Canada’s most experienced homicide detectives. He has spent three decades with the Toronto Police Department and has worked on cases with the FBI. Armed with a modern approach, he is re-investigating the Donnelly mass murder for the first time since 1880.
