Job Description

The audio will be recorded on real vinyl records as part of a participatory narrative experience in San Francisco's Exploratorium Museum. Visitors will hear your voice by putting the records on the turntable 'listening station' on the exhibition floor

The delivery should be casual and conversational, but with a little sense of the poetry of the words being spoken. The setting is a record store from the late 1960s San Francisco that has invested in a machine that allows you to record your own records.

The person is a teenager 'pretending' to be a a cowgirl (her alter ego). She's not actually a cowgirl, just a kid at a record shop. She also grew up on the east coast before moving to California, so the western 'twang' is all play-acting on the character's part.

The second script is only slightly different from the first.
