Job Description

Our team has been burning the midnight oil on a new, richly animated project for over a year.

We are on the hunt for the perfect actress to voice our character. It is a fantastical made-up creature, and resembles a cute, smiling sausage/blob with a wagging stubby tail, big eyes, and little stubby horns on its head.

Our creature might speak a couple simple words like "hey!" and "nuh-uh", but for the most part we are searching for an expressive voice actress who can capture a chimeric mix and range of cute pet animal vocalizations in various emotions, matched to animation loops, including:

• Kitten meows, purrs, yowls, paw licking, maybe a hiss
• Puppy snuffles, pants
• Piglet grunt or oink, possibly squeal when hungry or needing attention
• Cute yawns, hiccups, laughter and giggles
• Potentailly a bit of cute infant babble/gibberish

Imagine a potent mix of an infant, kitten, and puppy delighting you with its happy noises, but also guilting you out when it's sad. We have been trying to create a blend of a perfect pet, borrowing traits from various animals, and its voice should reflect that.

Some past creature noises and vocalizations we have liked include:
• Pikachu
• Stitch from Lilo and Stitch
• Furby
• The Sims and Simlish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simlish)

It's OK if you can't pull off a few of the above listed cases or specific voices, but we are looking for someone who can nail a wide variety and range of super cute animal expressions, and importantly, match them to existing animation loops. (The creature is composed of nearly a hundred animation loops stitched together to bring it to life.)

Our creature has an overall high register. Going occasionally comically deep is fine but we are looking for cutesy/higher pitched voices overall. Post-processing (pitching up the voice a little, etc.) is an option.

You must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement as you will need to work with confidential animation assets and keep things top secret for several months.

The initial engagement would be for a range of perhaps two dozen vocalizations matched to corresponding animation loops, with plenty of continued work down the line if we're happy with the results. We're looking for a starring voice actress who we can continue working with as the project evolves. :)

If you think your voice can breathe extra magic and life into a cute new character and hopefully delight millions of people around the world later this year, please send us an audition! We'd love to hear from you.
