Job Description

At 77SPARX, we are creating our next educational puzzle game targeted at kids 7-2. As part of the game, we have created a 7-year-old male Beaver character that will be playing with the kid and interacting with the kid throughout the game.

We are looking for the right person to give our character his voice! Since we are planning to produce a whole series of apps using this character, our strong preference is to find the right person with the right voice that we can work with on an ongoing basis.

In terms of the scope of work, there will be need for one 30-second game trailer video, some transitional phrases, some encouragement phrases (e.g. “Good job! You are awesome!”), and about 180 vocabulary words. Total word count will be about 700 words. Please see the script for details on the scene, story, and words.

Character Description

He is a 7 year-old beaver who lives in a small pastoral city. He is an explorer and a “leader of the pack.” His loves to create things. For example, he is the kind to build a rocket ship to fly him and his friends to explore the solar system space. While he is intelligent and thoughtful, like all young boys, he sometimes does things before fully planning things out, but is always smart enough to get him out of his troubles by building things that would help him. Eventually, we will be developing a whole set of friends for him – other kids that he would “lead” into (mis-)adventures. He can also be a bit dorky at times.

Project Details
In your proposal, in addition to the timeline and budget, we are very interested to see you bring creativity to how you feel this character would sound like. Feel free to submit a number of samples with different interpretations of his voice – including voices that may be a bit unique.

After selecting the voice actor, we will send the voice actor the final script (should be the same as the draft script, with same word count, just minor edit changes). We expect the work to be completed within 1½ week. We will have an initial kick-off meeting to review the script and make sure that the right emotion and emphasis are being incorporated. We will also have mutually agreed upon follow-up project checkpoints to ensure the voice work and quality is on track.

For delivery, we expect the audio tracks to be cropped into separate files for each of the individual tracks. The sound should be delivered in 2 formats:
• Uncompressed (e.g. WAV) original
• MP-3 compressed at 32kbps, 44.1kHz, mono-channel

If you are not able to deliver the MP3 format specified, we should be able to do the processing ourselves. Please do indicate that in your quote/proposal.
