Job Description

Hi Everyone!

My company is putting together a tutorial series on building an eBay business. Each lesson is going to start with a somewhat humorous line drawn sketch cartoon/slide show.

We need a narrator, someone with a deep voice to take a "so serious it comes off as humorous" approach.

The old Space Quest games come to mind (sample below): (See 5:03 mark):

There will ultimately be about 10 of these. I'd like to tackle the first one first though and get off on the right track for what we're looking for. An MP3 deliverable would suffice and we can fit it to our animations.

Here is a sample set of notes from one of the lesson cartoons:

This is bob. He is a regular guy with a regular job

This is bob's job. He works a 9-5 in the marketing industry so he knows the basics of how advertising works

Advertising $$$$ = Customers

As result, advertising made up a huge part of the company's budget

With rising marketing costs to find these customers, Bob's company started losing money
...and one day when Bob came in, his desk was no longer there...he was conveniently "let go"

Bob didn't know what to do?

After a few days...errr....weeks of doing...well, nothing... Bob discovered eBay!

Bob was instantly drawn to how huge of a marketplace eBay was

His old company spent MILLIONS of dollars advertising to find customers....But on eBay the customers were right there!

Now all Bob needed was a new and innovative product to sell right? Invent the next "iPhone" perhaps? ......"I wonder if anyone will buy my old Nokia?"

Bob went ahead and listed his state of the art Nokia 3310 in an eBay auction and went to bed

When he rose the next morning and stumbled out of bed to his computer, he had an email waiting for him...

Your item has sold for $16.73
"If I can sell my old Nokia, I wonder what else I can sell?"

The rest as they say, is history...These days Bob does't really do much "9-5". Come to think of it, Bob does't really do much work period.

He wakes up every morning, sets up his auctions....and _____________

....Long story, short...Bob's doing alright these days =)
The End
