Job Description

I need a character voice-over for the main character in an animated project. This will require cartoon acting ability.

This animation is a kickstarter.com pitch for a dramedy epic titled "Ragnarock Tales". The main character, Stirculius (stir-CUE-lee-us), is a scheming, yet charismatic and lovable elf. Ulf is the viking straight man in this treasure hunting duo.

In this script Stirculius is trying to entice the viewer to donate money to the development of the pilot for what would become an ongoing web-series.

The audience is made up of fans of Shrek, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft and other fantasy video games, comic books and the movies based on them, and of course grown-up animated comedy shows like Family Guy, Drawn Together, and Archer.

Audio File format would be uncompressed wav or 128 Kbps stereo MP3.

There is a bit of character acting required for the Stirculius part of the script. Stirculius is equal parts circus ring master, used car sales man, cat burglar and treasure hunter. He is constantly searching for attention, glory and riches. He should sound excited, cunning and convincing when speaking to the viewer. His asides should be more secretive and conniving. Despite his tendency for over-the-top behavior, he is still aware that he must come off as genuine as possible, so as not to raise the suspicions of his mark. If his delivery starts to feel too grand, then its ok to pull back in character. At no time should this feel like Austin Powers. Stirculius is smarter than that.

Ideally we would like to have a quote by 4/6/12 and record this for delivery by 4/9/12 so that we may begin animation.
