Job Description

ABOUT ME: My name is Matthew Acheson and I am a member of the Horror Writers Association - with 12 short stories published to date. I love stories that make my heart race, chill my blood and coax the hairs on the back of my neck to stand at attention. I prefer strange plots with hairpin turns and protagonists whose trials leave them broken, damned, deranged. These stories remind us we are alive.

PROJECT SCOPE: I am commissioning voice actors to read all of my published short stories, so that I can make them available in audiobook format on my website, www.cryptichouse.com. This particular project is to hire a voice actor to read my short story, THE COVENANT, and perform minor editing after the first draft is recorded as/if needed. If the project goes well, then there is an opportunity to record 11 other stories in coming weeks.

AUDITIONS: Everyone auditioning for the project should read the first page (300 words) of the script and submit that as a sample.

AUDIENCE: Readers of horror, science fiction, and fantasy.

AUDIO FILE FORMAT
File Type: MP3
Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz
Stereo Mode/Channel: Joint Stereo

PROJECT DEADLINE: I want to complete this project by Saturday June 16th.

ARTISTIC DIRECTION: Auditions should be read in character, and generally have a dark and ominous tone.
