Job Description

This is for an epic, historical first person shooter game for release on PC and XBox 360 in 3Q/4Q 2008.

This character is a ~50 yr old male. He is the lone personification of the story's antagonist and strongly foreshadows the story's 'twist'.

He's a scientist, a diplomat, an intellectual, but above all a very sharp businessman. He is of eastern European origin, which we hear a touch of in his speech. Although in his 50's, his voice is strong and clear, while also being kind and compelling. He is ultimately a salesman, and the player needs to buy into what he's selling.

Although he only appears twice, he is crucial in advancing the story line.

Please quote for 700 words, allowing for 2 additional pickup sessions at up to 250 words each and buyout licensing. Quote rates for additional pickup sessions as well (these guys like to change their minds!)

I'll accept auditions through January 15th and present the best to the development team at a benchmark meeting towards the end of January. Selected talent will be contacted in February after script tweaking and expected to deliver finished audio in one week. Pickups will take place through March, possibly April.

Talent not cast for this role will be considered for other minor characters. Only custom demos will be considered but watermarking is welcome.

Here are the lines for audition:

S: I am from what you call the other team. And I’m here to tell you that you’re working for the wrong people. The bad guys, if you will. I can’t say for sure that you’ve been lied to, but you certainly haven’t heard the whole story. You’re actually advancing the forces of evil with every trip you take.

S: But you cannot join us, even if you want. You must return and continue their bidding, as we see how this plays out. They must be working with Dr. Smith, brainwashing him, maybe even torturing the poor man. I wish he were with us.

S: We’re not necessarily a violent group, but the stakes are too high. I cannot safeguard you from my more militant colleagues, who are lobbying very strongly for your elimination. I can only do what I can to craft a more peaceful solution while stemming the tide of widespread murder.
