Job Description

I am the head of a company developing games for the blind and visually impaired community. The game that we are currently building is called Battle Crescendo, it is an action/strategy adventure set in medieval times.

The game will not be sold in normal stores, it will only be distributed via our website at least as things look right now. We will need full buyout rights for these recordings, which is to say the right to use them for anything we like as long as they are associated with the game. There is also a great chance that audio snippets from the game will be broadcast on TV and Radio which may or may not include your recordings, but they will still be a part of the production.

This job is somewhat strange, because I don't need any actual speech recordings; just screams, grunts and effort sounds. In the game fighting scenes I need to have a large number of characters (about 30 or 40 would be ideal) that you can fight against, so that it seems as though you are attacking different people all the time. These characters will be used throughout the entire game whenever there is fighting, that's why I need so many.

Since each character will require no more than 10 or 15 seconds of audio at the very most and I am planning to hire quite a few people; please consider this when quoting.

I need the following for each one:

Three or four effort sounds when the character is swinging a sword for instance. This is so that you will know a little beforehand if you are going to get attacked so that you get a chance to react.

Different grunts and short screams when the character gets hurt. It could be by a sword, an arrow, a knife, a club, you name it. I need as many of these as possible so that I can choose the best ones.

I also need a very short sound for when the player walks into the character, a sound like "oumf" that you would make if someone collided face first with you.

And finally, the dying screams. I need as many of these as possible... here are a few examples. One when the character gets stabbed through the stomach, one when his or her throat is cut open, a longer and more outdrawn scream when the character is killed by fire, and so on. The more of these that you can provide the better, again so that I have something to choose from.

Also, if you have any friends or if you know some other people that are willing to scream into a microphone, feel free to bring them into your studio as well. I basically need as many people as is ever possible.
