How you apply for and pick up your OSAP is changing!

What’s new?

You no longer have to visit Financial Aid to pick up your loan document!

And Fanshawe will confirm your enrolment electronically with OSAP for you so you may actually receive your funds earlier!

So, here’s how the new process works:

Step 1: Complete your full-time OSAP application online at osap.gov.on.ca

Step 2: Print your Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement, complete and sign it. This is the only time you’ll have to sign your loan agreement while you’re in school!

Step 3: Take page 1 of your MSFAA and two pieces of government-issued identification to a designated Canada Post outlet.

Step 4: Mail or drop off all of your required documents listed at the end of your online OSAP application to the Financial Aid office – with no appointment necessary! This must be done before any funds are given to you.

Step 5: Fanshawe will confirm your enrolment with the Ministry at the start and middle of each term.

Step 6: Your OSAP funding will be automatically deposited into your bank account. And remember – you can track your status 24/7 on your OSAP account at osap.gov.on.ca.

Step 7: To receive your second term funding, confirm your estimated income on your OSAP account. Don’t worry – you’ll get notification one month before your second disbursement reminding you.

Step 8: Your second term OSAP funding will be automatically deposited into your bank account. Fanshawe will also confirm your enrolment again with OSAP for second term.

Now we know it’s a lot to take in, but we’re here to help. So drop into Financial Aid, call, email, or chat with us on Facebook.

Oh and hey – best of luck this year!
Fanshawe College. Do what you love.
