Job Description

This is a sports highlight video for a youth soccer team. I am looking for a good Irish brogue, with the direction of a couple of mates sitting at the local pub talking about this awesome soccer team. Last season's video won several Telly Awards, and this project will be entered this year.

For this reason, there is a rapid turn-around.

‘Tis of a brave young soccer team, this story I will tell.
They called themselves the Leprechauns, from Forsyth they did dwell.
At the foot of Sawnee Mountain, they commenced their young careers,
Many a team they faced in battle, before them shook with fear.

Brash, brazen, young, undaunted, they boldly had their will,
The first four foes fell easily, by a rousing 12 to nil.
I’ve never seen such a team that played so well together.
The only thing that’d stop this train was the ill-timed rainy weather.

The stoppers and the goalies answered to the call.
Their defense was rock-solid, like a 10-foot tall stonewall.
Every enemy was thwarted with a swift and might kick.
Our own net was neatly kept; all the clovers were handpicked.

The runners were all speedy-quick, attacking with precision.
Their foes were often left grasping only indecision.
They could crumble any defense with just a green-eyed stare.
Seventeen times they danced a jig, and never messed a hair.

One day upon the mountain, they finally met their match.
A fierce, exciting battle suddenly did hatch.
With minutes left to go it looked like victory.
They’d have held fast to that lead, without the crooked referee.

Two tainted goals ‘twas scored upon, nothing more to yield.
There is no doubt they did their best, and left it on the field.
Now Leprechauns are short to some, but do not call them small,
For ‘round ‘bout Sawnee Mountain they certainly stand tall.

The Leprechauns live on and on, or so it is they say.
Their legend grows, as you know, each and every day.
This fable ends for us my friends, yet sure to be retold.
But look not ‘neath the rainbow for your shiny pot ‘o gold.
