Job Description

The voiceover is for a prisoner who is English speaking (Accent can be American or British, I don't mind as long as voice and intonation is right). It will be used for my third year animation project "Solitarios", about a prisoner who has ended up in a South American prison.

The first set of sound recordings are the build up to him hanging himself. Once he hangs himself the final clip will be played and reveal that he was unable to hang himself because the makeshift rope snapped.

I am looking for a somewhat gravelly voice. He is a broken man, a simple man, who achieves what he wants through death. He knows no other way.

Lines before attempted suicide:

"Don't deserve this" (as in I don't deserve this).

"Eternal pain"

"Want it to be over" (as in I want it to be over)

"End is in sight

"must escape"

"there's no point"

"Our father, who art in heaven"
"And forgive us our trespasses"
"And lead us not into temptation"

Final line after suicide attempt (must sound more broken and depressed):

"Damn thing broke.......And here I am now.......Alive.......Alone"
