Job Description

I need a male voice talent who can do a german(swiss) accent for a voiceover. This is a fun only, non-commercial project. Here's the backstory...

Last New Year's eve a good friend of mine, Scott, invited me and my wife over to their house for their new year's party. They had party games, one of which was to scour their backyard looking for Bart the gnome. Consumed with wanderlust Bart had escaped Scott's garden in search of adventure...but had quickly gotten lost. Whoever found Bart got some prizes...BUT had to keep Bart for the entire year and bring him back the next New Year's eve.

You guessed it...I found Bart. So while Scott probably wasn't expecting me to take Bart EVERYWHERE I went in 2012, I did. As you'll see he's been all over the United States, to Europe, and to the Bahamas. I took about 700 pictures of Bart over the course of 2012 with the intention of putting together this slide show so I can show it upon Bart's return to Scott's garden this coming New Year's Eve.

This not being a commercial project I don't have a huge budget, but then again I'm not expecting you to do it for free - I'm thinking something along the lines of a nice dinner out for you and your wife :-) I figured I will put it out on YouTube--and I'll give you the voice talent credit in the credits!

So I'm not thinking an accent that is identical to the Travelocity gnome because (as you'll see) Bart is Swiss...which means a sorta German accent, but you certainly can take creative license!

I've attached the entire script. You'll see there are stylistic instructions between { } throughout the script. It's around 3200 words according to Word (I told you, Bart has been all over the place!) When you're ready to do the live voice over, I'll send you a link to download the 14MB file that includes thumbnails so you can get an idea of what you're describing as you read the script.

To leave me enough time to do the actual movie editing, I'll need this complete by say next weekend.

I look forward to hearing your auditions - have some fun with it - and Happy Holidays!!
