Job Description

The voice we're looking (male 35-50) needs to be dripping with character. Coming out of a rough season, we're looking for a no-nonsense, determined feeling, with a bit of an edge but empathetic, to our fans.

We're not heading overly emotional but the passion is there having been tempered by a few tumultuous years. Earnest, forthright, loyal, human.

A real (but not overstated) Boston accent is interesting and could be the winning ticket -- as long it's not a caricature. We're looking for folks who aren't acting as much as folks with the true experience, and unpolished emotion can be great.

A good example might be:

Please read "Stand" for the audition.
Reading the other scripts as well is optional.

This price range includes reading one spot with multiple tags, re-reads if changes are made (very rare) and must include license and release for the northeast region for 1 year (although spots will likely only run for about 2 months, max). Payment with Sox tickets in barter is also possible, we'll work out paying the escrow fees in that case.

You must be available to record next week (Jan 14-18) in-person from Boston OR from your home studio (skype or speakerphone supervised) or local studio in your town (less preferred) on ISDN.

Note from This job posting has been reviewed and approved by staff. recommends that you slate your name and record a portion of the client’s script for auditioning. Please title the audition file with your name to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
