Job Description

I need a voice over for a corporate video. The subject is large price hikes so the voice needs to sound believable and trustworthy.

This was a last minute project, so the audio MUST be cut Monday morning, 4/7, and delivered asap. We already have music.

We live and work in an increasingly global economy. Emerging markets in China, Europe, India, and other parts of Asia are growing rapidly, and that growth is creating unprecedented demands for steel scrap and other raw materials.

This chart shows the phenomenal increase in the price of steel scrap—from 100 dollars a ton in 2002, to an estimated 500 dollars a ton or more this year. That’s a 500 percent increase in just six years. Other raw materials have shown similar increases.
Like every other company, Neenah Foundry has no choice but to pass these costs on to customers.

World demand for scrap is causing both price increases and supply shortages. Foundries are shifting their emphasis from how much it will cost to whether they can even secure enough material to meet their demand.

As a result of these market conditions, not all foundries will have large reputable suppliers that can guarantee (insure?) them raw materials.
The upward trend in prices is clear; however, some fluctuation is normal and it’s likely that prices will eventually dip again. Neenah Foundry has always closely followed market conditions and we’ll adjust prices accordingly (and will continue to pass along price reductions to our customers). We’ve built our business and our reputation by earning our customers’ trust and by providing quality products at fair market prices prices.

The word on the street is...Neenah.
