Job Description

Note from - this job is being closed early as client has selected and paid for talent via the SurePay system. Thank you.

I need a voice over recorded for my graduate thesis film. It's a 17 minute narrative movie shot on HD that is missing the key voice of a RADIO BROADCASTER. He speaks over the radio in the opening sequence and at the climactic sequence near the end on this old-timey/bluegrass type show.

What I already have versus what the voice talent will provide:

The movie is edited. All I need is to lay in the voice of a radio broadcaster.

Other requirements that the voice talent will need to know:

The voice over should be a man giving his final broadcast. It should be a 'thank you' to his listeners and also a 'final farewell'. It should be someone who has a confident, soothing voice, like something heard on PBR, or a GARRISON KEILLOR type. A slight southern accent would be great, but not necessary if he can capture the tone.

I'll need the voice-over recorded before or within a week of the response deadline of April 20, 2008.

Please find a portion of the script below for audition purposes. Full script available in attachment.

Good morning, this is Alfred Weatherman. And it grieves me to say that this will be my final broadcast. Despite my overwhelming gratitude for all your support I cannot help but feel a sense of apprehension as to where we leave off. Alas, all friends must part. But let us come together today at least to listen to some songs. And as the ship sails, for a short while, towards that elusive horizon at the other end of the bay, may we find in our crossing, some kind of comfort, some kind of home.
