Job Description

Maverick is a leading video games agency and we are making an online only trailer for an exciting upcoming digital title and we require several different-sounding male voices (aged 18 to 30) to appear as players within the trailer.

The trailer takes place as an online competition between two teams who are in the process of playing the first person shooter. The voices are those of the players themselves, in real life, who are communicating via headsets on their machines from various locations around the world.

We need approximately 7 different voices (ideally 'International' sounding - ie: nothing too British or too American and we will require a clear mix of voices from US / UK / Possibly European) Male – aged from 18 to 30.

There are 2 teams featured in the trailer and we need to use the VO to differentiate them wherever possible:

The Red Team are less experienced and don’t take the game seriously at the start. Due to this they all get killed very quickly – but they then learn from their mistakes and train together so that they are able to defeat the other team.

The NEW Team are clearly more experienced and professional in their tone right from the start and are not surprised the Red Team fail in their first attempt to challenge them.

Due to the type of VO we require, we would like all VO artists who are interested to record as many different reads of the script.

As the lines are very short, we will not be doing live recordings with the chosen artists. Ideally, we will take audition pieces to use. The auditions used will then be paid $100-$150 per character (depending on number of lines etc)

This fee will cover all costs, inclusive of file delivery, record and usage (online only, worldwide.)

Note from This job posting has been reviewed and approved by staff. recommends that you slate your name and record a portion of the client’s script for auditioning. Please title the audition file with your name to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
