Job Description

I am hoping to gather a few quotes and voice samples of females/males for a “potential” voiceover project. My client will have final choice on the selection based on the samples provided; ultimately only one talent will be needed for all the scripts - it’s important that the same talent be used throughout all scripts for this client/project.

I have attached two items for your review (and to help with quoting)

1. The first file is called “Sample Scripts for Narration Quote.docx”. This file gives you two examples of the 12 monthly scripts. You will notice areas coloured in dark green – these are ‘repeats’ and will only be read once. These make up the 1 “basic instructions” script (which I detail in the next section below). In the sample, you will ONLY be reading from the far right column (“voiceover”)

2. The second file is called “Sample Script for Narration Reading.docx”. These are combined lines/samples from a couple of the different scripts (note that this actually not attached but in the SAMPLE SCRIPT section below). This is what what will be used as a sample read for the client so they can hear what you sound like reading their material (and ultimately sign off on).

There are 13 Training Scripts in total; this is the breakdown and timing of the reads to help with your quoting:
• 4 “monthly” scripts @ 850 (approximately) words each
• 8 “monthly” scripts @ 500 (approximately) words each
• 1 “basic instructions” script @ 60 words
• 1 script done in the next week-two weeks (this will be a section taken from one of the 8 “monthly” scripts)
• 6 scripts done in a couple of weeks from now
• 6 scripts done in a couple of months from now

• 2 invoices will be provided each with 50% of the total quote.
• If the script is a complete re-read, there is a $100 charge, if only a line or so of copy, the charge will be approx $25.
• If re-read is needed due to misread/mispronunciation, there will be no charge.
• Talent to provide individual files (grouped by month). Each cell/row of copy in the script is one file. I will include the filename to be used within the row, for eg: “VOICE: voice4_EN.mp3”
• Please provide those individual files as mp3’s
• Please ensure audio levels/quality are consistent (to account for scripts read at different times, rereads, etc)
• Scripts (i.e., voice files) typically turned around in 24 hours

1. How much notice do you require before we can book a session with you (if we do proceed)?
2. Do you require the script to be provided in advance of the session, and if so, how far in advance?
3. Would you allow someone from our team to listen in on the sessions (via Skype, etc)? This is to address any questions/pronunciations of acronyms, etc instead of when it’s too late. Or what you recommend instead of patching in if this is not an option?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Carrie Tibbs
