Job Description

This is for a :60 radio spot (which will also be shortened into a :15) that will air in Michigan this spring. It is for Michigan's Office of Highway Safety Planning (the State Police) and will be marketed to male drivers primarily 18-34. This audition is open to men and women of any ethnicity between the ages of 28-68. Non union.

You will receive a one time payment of $500 for your recording and studio usage. Ideally, you should have an ISDN line, but this is not an absolute. Must have a credible, confident voice and one that tells a story. Not "announcery." Copy is attached below. *

This spot is a spoof on a medical/pharmaceutical commercial. Please watch a few pharma commercials on the internet to get a sense of how they are read. We are not looking for a campy read. Let the comedy come out in the copy, not your voice. Keep your read to a confident and inviting tone. And read it a little slower than you might normally read a radio to give it a relaxed feel. Thanks and good luck.

*Note: we may ask you to record a 3-second end tag for a TV commercial that correlates with the radio. If so, you will be paid $100 in addition to the $500.
