Job Description

Hello and thankyou for viewing this job.
I'm currently working on a completely non commercial pro-bono film for a Cambodian Orphange called H.O.P.E. HOPE aims to give a future to children whose lives have been affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Cambodia, and seeks to provide support, healthcare and education to children and families. Many of the non-government agencies operating in Cambodia test children for HIV as part of the admission criteria. If the children are found to be positive, they are not accepted. HOPE centre positively discriminates in favour of children and families affected by the HIV virus.
You can find out all about them here: https://www.hopeforcambodianchildren.org/

Please view this animated storyboard(with music) sample to get a feel for the pace and intended tone of this film:

The film is based on a book by Bic Walker. The orphange has so far been selling the picture book at charity events to raise money for the orphange.

The story of Srey needs to be told in a kind and sensitive tone.
The film will end up being about 3 minutes+ in length. So please imagine that the script is a picture book.. each paragraph and sentence needs to have space around it to allow the audience to soak up the imagery. You are telling the story of Srey with a slow pace. If you've worked in radio or television... you're going to have to slow down bigtime! :)
Just keep it natural and take your time.

I would love to hear all types of people pitch on this. From children to middle age... all are welcome.

The film will be shown at charity events, and shared online. I'll also be submitting it to film festivals and so forth. This is a short film, so it will have a proper credits roll.

About me: I make animated films(you can see some of my previous animation here: https://vimeo.com/55505622)

And finally 'Srey' is simply pronounced as 'Sray'.
I hope you can find time to pitch. Thankyou
