Job Description

A informational/training video on consequences of improper handing and working with aircraft skin panels.

At Spirit AeroSystems we work with aluminum clad skins as thin as ten thousandths of an inch.
Handling and moving these aluminum skins is critical. Any microscopic scratch, nick, gouge, defective drill hole, countersink, or rivet jeopardizes the clad protection -exposing the skin to corrosion, possibly causing fatigue cracks that can affect airworthiness and safety.
