Job Description

This is a 1/2 documentary about Steinbeck Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, CA. In April 1956, a B-26 Bomber, with 5 US Air Force military men aboard, crashed on their property. Four out of the five men survived. Two of the men are still alive today. The Steinbeck Family has honored their service by naming one of their wines "The Crash." This 1/2 doco is about that crash, the family's 7-generation history, the launch of their brand and the future of their business. The script below are a small portion of the memoirs of Barbara Amelia Ernst, the first generation who moved from Alsace, France (Germany at the time) in 1868.
