Job Description

We need a voiceover recorded in Russian for each of 933 distinct physical therapy videos. We have already completed the English language recordings. We have scripts prepared for each video, and each script is approximately 85-110 words and 30-40 seconds in length. Note that the last two sentences of each script tend to be identical. Here is an example English script:

Seated Knee Extension
Sit up straight in a chair with your feet on the floor. Place your hands on your pelvis to monitor for motion. With your thigh resting on the seat of the chair, straighten one leg out in front of you as far as you can to be parallel with the ground. Do not allow your back to round as you straighten your leg. Keep the small arch in your lower back at all times. Return your leg to the starting position and repeat with the other leg. Hold the position for the time indicated and repeat the exercise according to the reps and sets prescribed by your therapist. If you experience any pain, stop immediately and consult your therapist.

All of the scripts will already be translated and provided in a Microsoft word document. The videos have already been shot and edited, and the voiceover will not need to be synched to the video. An editor will append the voiceover to the video.

Background: This content is for a software application currently in development which will allow physical therapy patients to view exercise routines. Our objective is to help patients understand and properly perform their exercises, to improve the rehabilitation process.

We would like the voice to be clear, slow to moderately paced, and accent neutral. Given our budget, we do not expect the voice talent to provide multiple recordings of each exercise, or to have much back and forth after the first few recordings. Assuming the script is well read and correct, we're going to be easygoing and not push for the "perfect" read.

In terms of timing, we’ll evaluate submissions until the first week of November, and we anticipate commissioning the project shortly thereafter. We'd like to complete the project by late December/early January, but we have some flexibility.

Note from This job posting has been reviewed and approved by staff. recommends that you slate your name and record a portion of the client’s script for auditioning. Please title the audition file with your name to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
