Job Description

This video will be the introductory video on a new informational website explaining the benefits of modern technology in the stock market. It's a complicated policy issue, and so some of the words are a bit long and clunky, but we really need a voice that can take this highly technical explanation of the issue and turn it into a narrative that the average viewer can digest and understand. So you should be informative, but not dull about it. This is an exciting new technology! And it's a great story to tell. You're relaying an explanation about how this process works - most people don't understand it, you're pulling back the curtain and showing that it's not so scary after all! Be friendly, conversational (though not too conversational, this is a narration after all), storytelling voice (when appropriate), maybe a bit like how a news reporter would tell the story - without overdoing it. We are on a tight production deadline (editing this weekend and a bit on Monday), so we love it when applicants post a custom demo so we can hear what the script would sound like! Would love to hear demos today (Friday) if at all possible. The client might have some revisions to a line or two, but the overall length of the script is not expected to change. Please let us know your availability for quick turnaround on audio, if needed. The client is a national advocacy group, and the rate below includes the ability to use the voiceover in any medium (TV, radio or web; right now it is scheduled to be a web ad, but the client would like to retain the option to run the ad on TV and radio as well). Should this project go well, I am hoping this group will choose to continue with additional similar projects as well.
