This is a Children's short nature video being made for a Minnesota non-profit org. Target audience would be 9-year-olds. I expect this short to have success at film festivals.

I just finalized the script - it's trimmed down from 450 to 409 words.

final script is uploaded. I can send an accompanying word doc with direction.

SAMPLE FROM SCRIPT

The prairie.
It’s like a sea of grass.
Look closer and you will see many living things.
If you’re lucky, you might even see a prairie chicken.

Once, there was a lot of prairie in North America, and a lot of prairie chickens.
Today, most of the prairie has become farmland, and prairie chickens are rare.

But there is still a little bit of prairie left,
and if you go there in the spring to watch prairie chickens, you will see something wonderful.

In the spring, male birds everywhere pick a territory to call their own,
and try to attract a female to start a new family.
they all have different ways of getting a female's attention.

In the woods, the ruffed grouse drums the air with his wings.
On the water, the hooded merganser shows his white head-feathers.

On the prairie, the bobolink sings.
The Red-winged Blackbird flashes his red shoulders.
Prairie chickens stomp their feet, show their orange airsacs, and boom.
